Improving the volunteer experience, boosting engagement, and strengthening community impact

About Flutterbye

Empowering volunteer involving organisations to reach their goals through effective volunteerism

Founded by Christine Spiers, Flutterbye supports those who work with volunteers by designing, delivering and improving volunteer programs.  Originally launched in 2016 as a volunteer management blog, Flutterbye quickly established a large following and evolved into a consultancy designed to empower organisations to reach their goals through effective volunteering.

Flutterbye’s philosophy is based on transferring our knowledge and experience to volunteer involving organisations and we aspire to help our clients achieve their goals by embedding sustainable volunteer programs which deliver meaningful outcomes.

Flutterbye’s name and logo draws inspiration from the humble butterfly.  Small acts by individual volunteers add up to immeasurable benefits for the community; an example of the butterfly effect.  Flutterbye aims to work with organisations to identify small, achievable changes in their volunteer program which can ultimately deliver substantial positive impacts within their communities.

And the name itself; Christine’s two year old daughter couldn’t pronounce butterfly correctly and instead said Flutterbye
